So what is a root canal?

Essentially, a root canal is performed when a tooth has been affected by severe decay or infection. Deep within the center of each tooth is an area called the pulp chamber, which houses a mass of nerves and tissues called the pulp. When exposed to repeated dental procedures, trauma, and cavities, the tooth’s pulp can become irritated and inflamed. This results in the need for a root canal.

Here at the BWG Dental Centre your dentist in house Bradford will initiate the root canal process by taking an x-ray of your tooth and the surrounding bone to determine the extent of the damage and infection. Once done, your Spanish dentist in Bradford will then use anesthesia to help you relax and feel comfortable throughout the root canal procedure. Your dentist in Bradford will then create an access point from the crown of the affected tooth, using a dental drill to go through the root canal and into the pulp chamber. Your female dentist in Bradford will then remove the decayed tissue, making sure to thoroughly clean and sanitize the infected areas. Once all the decay has been removed, the area will be sealed off with a material called gutta-percha and a crown may be placed to complete the root canal treatment.
